Naval Academy Museum at Preble Hall Reopens


The museum threw open its doors yesterday, ending a two-year closure used to revamp the 1939 building that houses more than 50,000 maritime, military and naval artifacts - from the iconic flag crying "Don't give up the ship" to the spur worn by John Wilkes Booth the night he shot Abraham Lincoln.

The 2009 Maryland State Fair begins Friday, August 28 and runs thru September 7, 2009
Enjoy crafts, produce, farm and garden exhibits, food, midway rides, Thoroughbred horse racing and entertainment.

Maryland Renaissance Festival 2009


The Maryland Renaissance Festival starts Saturday, August 29th and runs trhough Sunday, September 27. The Festival is the second largest Ren Fest in the country! Its been in operation since 1977 and has more than 280,000 guest each season. Festival... includes live show, food outlets that sell food rarelly seen at other festivals and craft shops. Is a great venue for children and adults.

St John's College Moives on the Green showing of Tea with Mussolini has been rescheduled for Saturday August 8th (weather permitting). Seating begins at 8:00PM, suggested donation is $5.00 to benefit the Mitchell Gallery. Bring your blanket, chairs, picnic (adult beverages permitted for those over 21).
