2009 Annapolis Santa Speedo Run


Kudos from the William Page Inn to all the participants of this years Santa Speedo Race.
A 1 mile run through Annapolis in various Speedos - all to benefit a local YMCA camp (Camp Letts) Quite a few brave souls came to the Federal House in downtown Annapolis to brave 10-15 MPH winds & the worst snowstorm in a decade to run this event.

Annapolis Midnight Madness


Maryland's Capital town of Annapolis is gearing up for the holiday season! The Grand Illumination was tonight, holiday shopping events for the historic district, Towne Center, Park Place, and Westfield Annapolis Mall are all in full swing with Midnight Madness scheduled 12/3 &12/10. Great restaurants, shops, and events planned thru the season. Easy to walk, ride the Holly Trolley, taxi, or use one of the free transporters. Annapolis Annual Parade of Lights


One December night, a generation ago, people passing by downtown Annapolis saw a solitary decorated boat parading about the harbor. This vessel belonged to Jim Langer, a Spa Creek live-aboard, who in 1981 backed his home out of its slip and started what is now Annapolis’s most widely attended winter event. Lights on the Bay - Sandy Point State Park


Lights on the Bay is an event conducted by Anne Arundel Medical Center. The show will open to the public on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and will run through Sunday, January 3, 2010. The hours for the show will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. each evening. The cost of the show is $14.00 per vehicle. Naval Academy Museum at Preble Hall Reopens


The museum threw open its doors yesterday, ending a two-year closure used to revamp the 1939 building that houses more than 50,000 maritime, military and naval artifacts - from the iconic flag crying "Don't give up the ship" to the spur worn by John Wilkes Booth the night he shot Abraham Lincoln.

Maryland Renaissance Festival 2009


The Maryland Renaissance Festival starts Saturday, August 29th and runs trhough Sunday, September 27. The Festival is the second largest Ren Fest in the country! Its been in operation since 1977 and has more than 280,000 guest each season. Festival... includes live show, food outlets that sell food rarelly seen at other festivals and craft shops. Is a great venue for children and adults.

Power and Sail Boat Shows - October 2009


The United States Yacht Shows
The United States Sailboat Show, celebrates its 40th Anniversary and is recognized as the best and biggest in the industry for new, in-water sailboats. Just two days later, the Sailboat Show is followed by the 38th Annual United States Powerboat Show, the oldest in-water powerboat show in the country. Both shows are held in October in historic Annapolis, Maryland.

Boatyard Beach Bash

Annapolis Maritime Museum is sponsoring a "Boatyard Beach Bash" Saturday, September 19th from 5-9 PM at 723 Second Street in Eastport. Rams Head On Stage Annapolis

Rams Head On Stage Annapolis has some great shows coming this week. Saturday 7/18 @ 7:00 and 10:00 PM Oleta Adams. On Friday 7/17 Indigenous performs with Sweet Leda @ 8:00PM. On Sunday, 7/19 Alan Parsons Live Project performs @ 5:00 PM to all ages and again at 8:00 PM to ages 21 and over. The following week Judy Collins performs on Wednesday at 6:30 and 9:30 PM.
